Here we go.

I'm interested in the features of Web 2.0 -- flickr, blog, facebook, mashup, etc. I'd like to see if there is an application to help with teaching algebra and physical science. While I doubt I'll set up a personal blog to announce to the world that I'm sitting down to a dinner of meatloaf and mashed potatoes, I do want to know what blogging is and how it might be used. I do know of a family that kept their extended family up to date while their infant son underwent heart surgery at U of M Hospital. It saved them considerable energy by not having to repeat the same story over and over and over.

  1. Keeping a blog to keep extended family informed is an excellent use of blogging. You were joking about blogging about what you eat but I have to admit that was the subject of my first blog! I didn't keep it very long because I didn't have much of an audience. Now, I write reviews of restaurants on Citysearch and Urban Spoon.

  2. You will discover such a variety of applications to use with your students that you will not know what to share first.
